ABOUT MADY THETARD

Director, Writer, Actor, Creator

Originally from Michigan, Mady Thetard (she/her/hers) is a theatre artist living in Pittsburgh. She is currently completing a BFA in Theatre Arts at Point Park University - a program that lets her explore directing, playwriting, devising, and acting. She is passionate about developing new work and seeks to support the telling of underrepresented stories.

As a coordinator with Point Park's Inclusive Student Leadership Association, she aims to take her anti-racism training and apply it to theatrical practices and storytelling so that every space feels collaborative and safe.

This summer, Mady is excited to be the Writing and Direction Apprentice at Theatre Aspen where she will work closely with leading directors at a professional theatre company.
